Ian P. Aitken is an adventure filmmaker with a background in performance and storytelling. Before exploration became his main focus, he danced with the South Carolina Ballet, acted in more than a dozen plays, and won his city's short film contest.At 18, Ian biked across America in sandals and survived a week on an island with only $10 worth of gear and no food. This past winter, he converted his Honda Fit into a camper to travel and snowboard across the West Coast. In May, he began kayaking down the Mississippi River in a folding kayak.Today, he focuses on creating outdoor adventure films and growing his social media presence by documenting unconventional, long-distance adventures.Whether he’s traveling, filming, or planning the next trip, Ian’s work is driven by a simple mindset:
